At a Special General Meeting on Thursday 1st November 2018, the following resolutions were agreed, nem con:-

1. That the Club be dissolved in accordance with its Constitution from 31st December 2018.

2. That the accounts for the period 1st January to 31st December 2018 be prepared for the Club general account and the accounts of the Literary, Painting and Travel groups.

3. That any monies in the accounts of the groups be added to the Club General Funds and, after payment of all debts and liabilities, all monies be donated to Charities.

4. That the meeting give the Committee the delegated responsibility to approve the accounts.

5. That a Sub-Group made up of the President and two Vice Presidents be asked to select the charities to which the monies should be donated.

6. That the meeting approve the disposal of the capital assets of the Club as follows:-

i) Crockery - donated to the Gladstone Village Hall

i) Display stands & covers (Art Group) - donated to the Gladstone Village Hall

ii) A digital and slide projectors and accessories – sold to Swan Movie Makers Wirral

In 'Other Business' it was agreed that in advance of the Club closure, sums of £400 each be given to the Gardening group and the Rambling group as 'start up' funds for new independent groups commencing in January 2019, subject to the groups being properly constituted and having bank accounts. It was also agreed that the Literary group would keep their small cash float to enable the group to continue to meet on an informal basis.

The Manor Gatehouse Club will therefore cease all activities on 31st December 2018, with just a last meeting of the club committee early in 2019 to approve the final accounts.
